Notification of price increases for some of our products from 31st July
We will be making price adjustments to a number of our yarn bases on 31 July in response to changes in fibre costs and the weaker pound. It has been over twelve months since we last changed prices (April 2018). We have endeavored to only make price changes to a limited number of yarns where price changes were absolutely necessary.
We are holding prices the same on around one third of our yarns and limiting price increases to between 1% and 3% on a further 40% of our yarns. Eight of our yarns including our non-treated merino yarns and all of our mini's will have increases of between 4% and 5% to reflect current fibre and production costs.
Only four of our yarns will be subject to price increases of more than 5%. The bases which contain cashmere fibre will have price increases in the order of 11% to 12% due to the dramatic increase in cashmere fibre costs which have almost doubled over the past twelve months. Also, to correct a pricing error we made in April last year, the price of our Polwarth DK will be aligned with that of the 4Ply.
We are providing advance notice of the increases to allow customers to complete purchases they may be considering at the old prices.
