24 March 2020: An update on our response to the coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak
Over the last few weeks we have seen an increased demand for our yarns as people seek activities they can undertake from the safety of their homes. Whilst we have been heartened to see so many people turning to creativity to help navigate these unprecedented times, the health & safety of our staff and customers is of the utmost importance. The situation is being monitored on a daily basis and our online store will remain open unless circumstances change .
Our warehouse in Bradford has put in place a number of sensible distancing and safety measures to ensure that staff required for packing and dispatch can stay safe at work and that all our products can be delivered to your chosen destination safely without any personal contact. We have also put in place mechanisms so that staff not required to be physically in the office are able to work from home.
With demand increasing and additional processes put in place by both ourselves and our carriers, we ask for your patience with delivery times which will be slower than usual during this period. We have staff answering emails as quickly and efficiently as possible, but again we ask for your understanding if our responses are not as prompt as they would be under normal circumstances. As administrative staff are working from home, please contact us via email at firstname.lastname@example.org rather than by phone.
Thank you for all your support at this stressful time. We will reassess the situation daily and keep you all up to date with any changes going forward. In the meantime, our thoughts go out to everybody affected and we offer thanks to all of those on the front line working hard to keep us safe - from healthcare workers to delivery drivers.
Once again, thank you all for continuing to support our business at this uncertain and extraordinary time.
With the warmest wishes to you all and your families,
The Yarnundyed Team
As many of you know, the UK formally leaves the EU on 31 January 2020. This will not affect the way we do business with any of our customers (particularly those of you in the EU). Orders and shipments will continue as usual until the end of 2020 (the end of the transition period). The Yarnundyed Team.
