Our Story

We are a small family business that has been producing and selling hand knitting yarns for over 30 years. We are based in Bradford, UK and have family involvement in natural fibres dating back to the 1930's and the height of the UK textile trade.

We have used our knowledge of fibres and yarns to provide the highest quality yarns for hand dyers and have an extensive range of contacts worldwide from which to source material.

All of the yarns we offer are unique to us. We design our yarns in-house specifically for hand dyeing. We extensively test dye and knit all of our yarns prior to launch to ensure we provide the best and most appropriate bases for our customers.

Our mission is to supply the best quality natural fibre yarns for hand dyers and discerning knitters, crocheters and weavers

Returns Policy

Unwanted goods

Unwanted products can be returned provided you let us know you want to return them within 14 calendar days from the day after delivery. They must be unused and able to be resold.

To return goods please contact us first via email on info@yarnundyed.com or call 01274 471274 to let us know you no longer want the goods and intend to return them.

You must return the goods to us within 14 days of telling us you no longer want them. The return is at your cost, and you need to make sure the goods are properly packaged, and sent with a reputable courier, as you are responsible for the goods until we receive them. We cannot accept any responsibility for goods that are damaged in transit before they reach us. You may wish to insure more expensive items.

Once we have received the goods back from you, we will give you a refund for the cost of the product plus the delivery charge paid (except for the additional costs arising if you selected a type of delivery other than the least expensive type of standard delivery offered by us). If your order was eligible for free delivery, then no refund for postage can be applied.

Faulty Goods

Items faulty on arrival. You have the option of an exchange or refund. If your items are faulty on arrival, you have 30 calendar days in which to inform us of the fault. Items should be returned in their original packaging complete with all documentation. To return faulty goods please contact us first via email on info@yarnundyed.com or call 01274 471274 to let us know about the fault and we will send you a pre-paid returns label. You can drop off at any one of 2,500 DPD locations throughout the UK. If this return method is not practical for you, please let us know and we will endeavour to find an alternative method.

Once we have verified the fault we'll issue a replacement or full refund to you via your original payment method and reimburse your reasonable return carriage costs.

Damage in Transit

If any items were damaged in transit, we ask that you report it to us within 5 working days. If the items are visibly damaged on receipt, please refuse the delivery and call 01274 471274 or email info@yarnundyed.com to let us know about the damage.

If you notice the damage later, please contact us first via email on info@yarnundyed.com or call 01274 471274 to let us know about the damage. We will send you a pre-paid returns label. Item Missing or Incorrect Item

If there is an item missing from your order or the wrong item has been sent, then please call 01274 471274 or email info@yarnundyed.com. as soon as possible and in any event within 5 working days, and we will do our best to resolve the problem.

International Buyers

Please note: Import duties, taxes and charges are not included in the item price or postage cost. These charges are the buyer's responsibility. Please check with your country's customs office to determine what these additional costs will be prior to buying.
